Thanks! Two questions:-
1. what is the difference between the RH2 sets and the RH2L sets?
2. is it advisable to continue to run M2 sets for the pairs not included, eg AUDUSD M2, EURUSD M2, NZDCAD M2, NZDUSD M2, USDCAD M2.
3. Love the rainbows
4. RH2 sets have news filter set to OFF - is this recommended in live trading?
I guess the question is: If we have been running the other sets including SI with Rally Block on whats the advice on continuing with RH on.
The settings for RH appear to be the same for all pairs in RH sets
Just set UseRH = TRUE.
You should have experience with it by now. If you need it, switch it on.
1. Sets with L are intended to be more conservative.
2. Decision is yours. If you like trading of some of sets, you can keep them.
Yes, for me news filter is on
Some of the SI sets shipped with 6.1 have not been fixed. They do not overwrite the Default settings.
This issue has been around for a long time. It would be nice to have a clean SI set.
Let me guess, the AUDCAD_SI and GBPCAD_SI files ?
I experianced trouble with them due to Russian character in the file names.
Did you download the SI files from this forum site?
If a RH hedge trade is going negative why does it not build its own grid to recover ?
The idea is different: it is not to gain additional profit, but to reduce risks.
Just setting parameter to TRUE without any change to settings gives default settings from .ex4 file
6, 3.0, 1.5, 1.0, 0.25, 0, 1.5, 5.0 ....that has just given me my first loss in months on Strike M2 sets
RH sets use different settings and also 4H
So question is what are your recomendations for RallyHedge settings for M2, W2 SI and 1k sets
RallyHedge is not about the additional profit, it is about reducing the overall risks. Hedging order may be closed with profit or with loss.
If you do not like hedging, you can set LotHedgeRH = 0, then the hedging order will be open with the minimal lot size allowed by the broker.
I suggest to use the following settings,
EntryRH = 4
ExitRH = 0
the rest default.
Strangely, these are the settings I am now using, I copied these from the RH sets
I do understand the reason for RH is to reduce risk. I am quite comfortable with hedging and use ArgoGuardian frequently to achieve a similar outcome
However results for RH are not good compared to running with RallyBlock. 1st losses I have had since Feb 2017 !
Once more: if you do not like hedging orders, you can reduce them in volume so that there will be no effect from them. If you do allow them, you should be ready to their closure with loss. The decision is yours.
